Ombré Cake

All right we all know and love the trend well..I love the trend from hair to clothes even nails are all going ombré! Don't believe me take a look...

So why can't our desserts join in the trend too?

So here's a simple way to jazz up a plain looking cake which you can either bake it yourself or buy from a store. This just helps add a little special touch if you're trying impress someone into thinking you're some professional baker with little effort

What you'll need for the icing is:

3/4 Cups of soft butter4 Cups of icing sugar
Pinch of salt3-4 Table spoon of cream
Food coloring of your choice ( I went with pink)
Piping bag and a flower nozzle

Method:

Place everything in the mixing bowl except for the liquid
then mix still everything is combine and fluffy

When you're done mixing divide the frosting in to 4 bowls
and start adding your color adding more to each bowl to build your color

  • TIP: Remember to always leave one bowl of white frosting to lighten the color if too much  food color is added and also for crumb coating
  • TIP: Try placing your piping bag in a glass because it'll be easier to get the frosting in the piping bag and also you'll avoid a huge mess by doing that

 VIOLA!!
You have successfully fooled your friends and family into thinking that you've slaved all day and cordon bleu worthy skills
